StormTech - the below ground water management system with a free water quality treatment device

Published last November, The Royal Meteorological Society's State of the Climate report showed that Britain has become 6% wetter over the last 30 years. Indeed, six of the 10 wettest years since 1862 have occurred since 1998.

This wetter weather will challenge the UK's existing drainage infrastructure and the management of both water quantity and water quality. Fortunately for engineers working on rainfall management and stormwater attenuation systems, there's good news with the UK launch of the ADS StormTech below-ground water management system.

ADS StormTech incorporates the unique Isolator Row, a built-in water quality treatment device designed to remove silt, sediment and material flushed off the surface during rainfall. Isolator Row has been independently tested by universities and respected industry bodies and validated to remove over 80% of Total Suspended Solids (TSS) plus metals, hydrocarbons, phosphorus, nitrogen and other surface water pollutants.

Isolator Row is integral to StormTech, which is available with a wide range of chamber sizes making it easy to optimise systems hydraulically and for all conditions, including low cover depths and deep installations. StormTech is also highly adaptable and can be configured around obstacles and affords multiple inlet and outlet positions. Standard manifolds, manholes, access chambers and flow controls can also be used. The unique StormTech Design Tool provides quick and effective system layouts that integrates with CAD based designs and other engineering and specification documents.

EASY TO MAINTAIN

Isolator Row 'protects' the StormTech attenuation chambers; they never need cleaning. With over 40,000 installations worldwide and a huge depth of experience over many years, Isolator Row is proven to need cleaning once every 3-7 years on average, depending on the nature of the installation, using standard sewer cleaning equipment.
