The latest addition to the StormTech range, the SC-800, holds more water than the company’s best-selling SC-740 chamber, and requires less embedment stone for installation. The corrugated design reduces the minimum cover depth and delivers a 7% smaller footprint than the SC-740 for the same storage volume.

But that’s not all. Other below-ground SuDS attenuation systems such as crates and pipes, do not provide any treatment to the incoming flow. StormTech directs first flush runoff into the patented Isolator Row – an integral water quality treatment device.

Isolator Row is independently tested and validated to remove more than 80% Total Suspended Solids (TSS), often avoiding the need for a costly sediment removal system upstream of the tank. Isolator Row can also remove other pollutants such as particulate-bound hydrocarbons and metals. Isolator Row is the only part of the StormTech system that needs cleaning, typically every two to five years, using standard sewer jetting equipment.

Additionally. ADS StormTech is the only combined SuDS attenuation and water quality management system to have 3rd party verified Mitigation Indices, with the capability to treat Medium Pollution Hazard applications without the need for other SuDS treatment components.

Minimum cover depth, maximum benefits
StormTech’s elliptical arch-shaped design sheds load from the chamber to the surrounding stone, which transfers loads into the stone columns between the chambers and spreads the weight through to the native soil, resulting in extraordinary minimum and maximum cover depths. The new SC-800 chamber has a minimum cover depth of 380mm based on HGV traffic loading.
