The benefits of hiring a full service design and marketing agency

News by Kat Jones0 comments

So you’re looking for a new website design and build, and your first port of call is to have a quick search on the Internet to find local companies and designers in your area. The chances are many will come up, and they will be a mixture of studios and freelance designers and developers, but which do you choose?

All of these companies will have their pros and cons, as some agencies specialise in a certain aspects of design and marketing. For example they can design your website, however they may not have the resources or knowledge in marketing to get the website to your target market, meaning you will have to find another company to do this aspect. If you are a company that is looking for a high media presence in both print and online, then this may be something to consider, as moving tasks between different agencies … [Read More]

All-Stars 2 – 7 The Studio 4

News by Matt0 comments

The charity match between the Newport All-Stars and The Studio 4 proved to be a great success. Fortunately, the weather stayed fine and at 2pm, 25 players and a good crowd descended on the football pitches at Lilleshall Sports centre.

The studio 4 had pre-match concerns about their keeper with none of our players seeing it as their best position, so it was agreed that 3 or 4 of the lads would rotate. As the game kicked off, The studio 4 were under the cosh a little as we tried to get our shape. The All-Stars were passing the ball well and tried to capitalise on the fact that we did not have a natural goal keeper. They operated with a 4-5-1 formation with Ben Jones in the All-Stars midfield looking sharp as the All-Stars gathered a bit of momentum. Twenty minutes into the game and against the run of … [Read More]

The Studio 4 Charity Football Match

News by Charlotte0 comments

The Studio 4 lads have been training for a charity football match against Newport All-Stars over the last couple of months.

The match will take place at Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre on Sunday 19th November.

Newport All-Stars is a group of lads that all grew up together and now, in their late 30’s put together a football team. They have already played 7 games this season with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. Matt Curbishley, The Manager of The Studio 4 plays for Newport All-Stars and they are always looking for a new team to pitch themselves against. Matt decided to put together a team from The Studio 4 to go against his old school friends and hopefully give them their toughest test yet.

We’ve also decided to donate all of the proceeds from the day to charity. Our chosen charity is Children in Need ,which is … [Read More]

Google’s Mobile-friendly ranking algorithm

Internet by Kat Jones0 comments

Google regularly updates its algorithm in order to improve their user experience, this year they are focusing on mobile friendly websites. On the 21st April, Google made a change which could lower the rankings of many websites by a substantial amount if they are not considered appropriate for mobile devices.

Users will now be able to find high quality and relevant results where content is legible, without having to zoom in or struggle to click links. This is great for users, however what does this mean for the websites which have been ongoing for a number of years, yet do not have a mobile friendly website?

It means their ranking could drop significantly, when they are searched for on a mobile device. The importance of this depends entirely on the amount of your visitors that view your site on a mobile device. For some B2B companies the percentage of visitors … [Read More]

Christmas is coming… Especially for TV adverts

Internet by Kat Jones0 comments

It seems there is a common theme this year with all the big company’s Christmas adverts, and strangely enough it isn’t showcasing the many products and gifts you can buy. It is much deeper than that, with each company putting their own spin on what Christmas means besides giving shampoo sets and socks to our nearest and dearest. If you want to view the adverts, click on the image.

The advert that has caused the biggest storm this year has to be the John Lewis advert. This includes a boy and his friend, Monty the Penguin, going through the run up to Christmas, showing a strong friendship and enjoying many moments together. The main focus of the fairly long advert, just over 2 minutes long, is one of companionship and love, which sadly Monty the Penguin doesn’t have. The climax on Christmas morning is when the boy, Sam, gives Monty … [Read More]
